Pendeen Vau

Pendeen Vau is a Fogou (an underground passage with chambers) at Pendeen Manor Farm. Local legends says that a white lady appears at the entrance on Christmas morning, holding a red rose in her mouth. If you spot her you are supposed to die within a year, while another legend says that if you follow her into the tunnels, she turns into "a hideous monster."
