Tudor Rose Tearoom

In the tea room, figures have been seen and footsteps heard in the otherwise vacant first floor. A cake was also flung off the counter after a customer had ordered it! An elderly lady was also seen in the corner of the tea room and even spoke to people.

Update 30/1/2020: Following a request from myself, Louise O'Keeffe, the proprietor told me that while she had never encountered anything herself, lots of people have experienced things, and say they feel or see things. She elaborated a few days later by saying that these were "an old lady some say wearing blue...some see kids too...all very friendly." A follow-up Facebook message five years later was answered on 19th March 2025 and I was told, "we do have activity here yes ... We have the lady in blue specifically she is usually located in the banquet room ... But there has been numerous other sightings by staff and customers alike." The "Blue Lady" had apparently been seen regularly by customers but not by my correspondent. In a further message I was told, "The blue lady is the one mostly people see but there has been a lot of talk of other ghosts. There was Action on the stairway apparently a vortex. And also, I’ve witnessed poltergeist activity myself only once an object was moved and then put back in plain sight I don’t take it personally that I do not see the ghosts. I’m actually quite grateful. I speak to them sometimes and ask them to not show their presence to me because I do not wish to be afraid. I have never experienced any negative vibes in the place."
