Reel Cinema (Closed)Derry's Cross, Plymouth, Devon PL1 2SW The main ghost is nicknamed "Emily" and is thought to be an actress who committed suicide in the dressing room when the Theatre Royal once stood on the site; her ghost was also seen there too. She is described as wearing a long red skirt and jacket with black braids around the neck and arms and is supposed to be active when horror films are being shown! She may be responsible for other phenomena including cold spots, noises, seats that are down and doors that unlock without explanation. It is said that screen 2 is the most "active" place with the ghost of a lady in the screen room and another who sits in a certain seat (in either the front or back row depending on various account) - whether these two are connected to "Emily" is not clear. In the same screen, a man has been seen in the front few rows. A woman wearing 1940s era clothing has been seen sitting in the front two rows of an unspecified auditorium; customers who have sat in "her" seat report feelings of unease and of being watched, as well as becoming ill. In Screen One, a playful child has been seen and cold spots experienced. Screen Three also once had "a shape" in the doorway. There is also "a strange young man" walking around. A lady in 2010 was startled when someone knocked on her toilet cubicle door, but no-one was there upon investigation; strange noises and a dryer that activates by itself have also been noted.
