Bedford Hotel

The ghost of a young girl is, or at least was, frequently seen in the restaurant, corridors and some of the guest rooms in the early 1990s. A legend tells of how she was befriended and then taken advantage of by a monk at the Benedictine Abbey, once located on the site of the hotel. Worried about the outcome of his deed, the monk then murdered the girl and disposed of her remains.
