Courtesy of Peter Crawley: "The lonely road between Two Bridges and Moretonhampstead was greatly feared by travellers, especially the spot at the bridge over the East Dart near Postbridge. Several motorists have experienced a pair of hairy hands grabbing hold of the steering wheel and causing them to crash."
