Kitty Jay's Grave

A figure without feet is reported to have been seen hovering in the vicinity; another story is that the ghost is wearing a hood and long dark clothing, bending over the grave as if in mourning. It is not clear if these are the same spectres. One local legend is that Kitty Jay was buried here in the 18th century, in unconsecrated ground as a suicide victim when she was spurned by her lover, becoming pregnant according to some versions of the story. It is said that fresh flowers are regularly placed on the grave, but there are no footprints seen in fresh snow.
