The Spice Ship

The ship's bell, behind the bar, used to ring by itself. Other incidents include alarms activating for no reason, footsteps being heard, beer taps turning on by themselves, a shadowy figure seen, glasses becoming so hot that they explode and a former landlord being yanked out of bed. This latter incident was blamed on the ghost of a Portuguese sailor, who drowned off the coast two centuries ago, his body taken to the inn for an inquest; it is said that his phantom is searching for his lost shipmates. Activity usually reoccurs after periods surrounding a refurbishment.

Update 7/2/22:I contacted the proprietors asking about any recent phenomena and was told, "We have had the pub now for 3 years and have not experienced anything of paranormal nature sadly."
