Pidford Manor

A child sobbing loudly has been heard coming from the attic area, and from time to time a spectral youngster has been seen and footsteps heard too. On one occasion, the child's hand was seen going up the attic stairs but the position seemed to be "wrong" - it was later found that the current steps had been moved from their original location. Although the child is no longer reported, a man wearing a crimson and gold nightgown and a nightcap was reported on at least one occasion.
