Once a New Age shop, a spectral girl was blamed for mischief in the building, such as throwing candles and tarot cards on to the floor during the night, and the owner felt herself pushed on the stairs. Additionally, a phantom large black cat was also observed in the shop. It is not known if these phenomena still manifest.

Update 15/3/22: Cynthia Ince of "Walled Garden Cafe" (which occupied the premises at the time) replied to my query about recent phenomena; "Yes, we do get the odd occurrence at our cafe. We have heard footsteps across the wooden floor of the actual cafe area, there have been movements outside the kitchen window with no one there. This morning the dishwasher switched itself on to wash and the kitchen door that had been chained back to keep it open, closed itself!" Cynthia told me that the stairs are now part of living accommodation, to which they don't have access.
