Priory Bay Hotel (Closed)

Nettlestone Priory was once the haunt of "The Blue Lady", believed to be Esther Grose, who was heartbroken when her pet spaniel died; she had the dog stuffed and placed in a case but when the building was sold the contents were sold - and the dog in its case was lost. The ghost was distraught, calling for her dog. The dog was eventually found and replaced in the building - and the hauntings ceased, apart from very occasional sightings, and sometimes the little dog itself is seen too. A pair of phantom monks have been seen in the grounds and a guest reported a man in a suit of armour appearing in her bedroom at night.
