Castle Street

When this was "The Hole in the Wall", "strange noises" were heard in the lower levels of this building. In the past, the site was a prison and the cells were an area where people died of starvation and disease; it is this area where the noises have been heard to this day. When the old prison was demolished in the 18th century, three spectral female voices were heard screaming from the cells. After 12 days of prayer by the clergy, everything was quiet.
