Okehampton Castle

Lady Howard, who murdered her four husbands, has been seen in a phantom coach (made from the bones of her late spouses) travelling from the castle to Fitzford House, near Tavistock at the stroke of midnight, according to legend. It is said that she must pick a blade of grass during her journey and will not be granted penance until the verges are clear. She has also been seen walking in the grounds of the castle, and has also been observed sitting naked by the riverbank, brushing her hair.
