The George InnMain Street, Chideock, Bridport, Dorset DT6 6JD 01297489419 Before a refurbishment eight years ago (c.2016) a phantom lady used to be seen here. The landlady said that she was the ghost of a woman shot at the entrance of the pub "hundreds of years ago," and they called her Judy. Out of hours things used to happen like glasses flying off shelves - and Judy had been seen at least once, by a guest in the cottages opposite who saw her in the window. Link: Bridport News |
