Bridport MuseumThis museum is the haunt of Captain Alfred Codd, who once owned the building and obviously finds it difficult to leave. He wears a yellow smoking jacket, and his phantom seems to be relaxed and exudes no menace. The fireplace is also a source of mystery, as it has sometimes been seen lit with a young lady in Victorian garb warming herself. A 17th century gown that was bequeathed to the museum in 2005 has a protective spirit attached to it. Update: 22/7/21: Administrator of the Bridport Museum Trust Jane Smallman informs me, "I am not aware of any ghostly activity." |
