Bridport Museum
25 South Street, Bridport, Dorset DT6 3NR

This museum is the haunt of Captain Alfred Codd, who once owned the building and obviously finds it difficult to leave. He wears a yellow smoking jacket, and his phantom seems to be relaxed and exudes no menace. The fireplace is also a source of mystery, as it has sometimes been seen lit with a young lady in Victorian garb warming herself. A 17th century gown that was bequeathed to the museum in 2005 has a protective spirit attached to it.
Update: 22/7/21: Administrator of the Bridport Museum Trust Jane Smallman informs me, "I am not aware of any ghostly activity."
