The Cricketers

This pub boasts a few ghosts; a man in a long black coat and with a pale face, and a nun (who is also sometimes seen outside the pub). Something with "cold, clammy hands" also makes its presence known in the ladies toilets too; it is claimed that a long time ago, a woman committed suicide in this area. There are also stories of poltergeist-like activity, with tales of hurled bottles, slamming doors, beer taps being interfered with and glasses "drifting off." Footsteps are also heard to go up the stairs, and then to descend again; it is also on the stairs that shadowy figures are reputed to have been seen.
