Green Posts

According to the Greene King website, "The Green Posts is said to contain the ghost of a man named George who used to live at the pub with his wife Vicky. There have been typical stories about a ghost living in the cellar, with one tale claiming that the cellar ceiling collapsed when somebody tried to do some work down there." The only odd thing that has occurred is the burglar alarm going off frequently during the night. Although most of these were without cause, on one occasion, when the manager reviewed CCTV footage, there was "a baby-blue balloon walking around the bar at 6am." It seemed to be accompanied by an invisible figure as it seemed to move up a step and changed direction, even moving around a pillar three times before heading to the bar. The balloon sunk behind a chair and was lost from view. The incident lasted about 15 seconds. The cleaners the next morning moved the chair but there was no balloon. It has not been seen again.

Update 14/4/23: Ryan Fisher, the general manager tells me, "A few Regulars tell me that the place is haunted!! A guy in the cellar and a small girl upstairs apparently!!"
