A Roman soldier has been seen here; only the top half of him is seen due to a change in ground level since Roman times. An old lady standing in a doorway has been seen in a mirror but when the pub worker turned to tell the woman that the pub was not yet open, the spot was empty. Cold spots, equipment turning itself on and opening doors have also been reported here. Additionally, the ex-partner of the 2021 landlord said she was woken up every day at 4.23am by the sound of latches rattling in a room in the loft.
