Eyeworth Pond

The Weird Wiltshire provides the following information from a contact; "In 1987/8, a friend who lived in the [New Forest] told me that Eyeworth Pond was supposedly haunted by a lady in a long dress (I think he said a white dress). He told me that it was 'local knowledge' and so we went to the pond to have a look. Of course, we didn’t really expect to see anything, which proved to be the case." Another source said that he and a friend had gone to the pond about 10:30pm for a couple of hours to take some pictures. They were standing on the track that leads to the car park when he saw a woman walk across the path to the water, going from right to left, but she never re-appeared. She was some way away, but it was a clear and cold night, so he could see well enough to know that it was definitely a woman.
