Coach and Horses

Two spectral cavaliers have been standing in the corner of one of the rooms. Additionally, a lady dressed in black has been reported and there have even been stories of ghosts seen hanging by the neck; it is said that the building was once used as a courtroom. The cellars were the gaol and an execution drop for the gallows being located in the room above the main bar.

Update 4/8/21: The pub responded to my query on Facebook asking for any recent sightings thus: "nothing to report I'm afraid!"

The pub told the media in 2025; "Two Cavalier soldiers have been sighted in the upstairs flat, and a woman roaming the pub itself (locally referred to as the Woman in Black)" [pub staff] said. "There’s also a hanging hook for executions, though this is local legend rather than historical fact," they said."
