The George Inn (Closed)

It is said that people have reported hearing the sound of muffled galloping hooves outside the pub, with claims that the noises may be made by the ghosts of the four knights who fled after murdering Thomas Becket in Canterbury Cathedral in 1170. Visitors have also claimed to have seen a ghostly figure dressed in what they have described as 18th-century clothing, sitting next to a 'spectral black dog' inside the pub.
