Footsteps have been heard "stomping around in the flat above the pub" - even though it was empty; when the employees checked, the area was peaceful and they remembered that the owners were away on holiday. An old landlord admitted that the pub was haunted and the rumour is that the ghost is that of a woman who died in what later became the bar.
