West Horsley Place

A woman in a long gown and carrying a large bag has been seen in the entrance way; she is believed to be Elizabeth Raleigh who refused to have her husband's head buried after he was executed - but instead had it embalmed and carried around in a specially made bag.

Update 7/8/20: Carolyn Farrell, the events and operations assistant informs me that, "The current team here at West Horsley Place have only been on site for the last few years but none of us have experienced any unusual phenomena within these walls. The house has a very calm, friendly atmosphere about it and none of us have ever felt spooked – even on a dark winter night!" In a further email, she said that they do have the red velvet bag in which the head was carried around in!
