Hazlitt Theatre

The only concrete story is that of a woman dressed as a maid, who is seen in the balcony area.

Update 24/8/21: Sam Ray, the Technical & Facilities Manager for the theatre told me, "there has indeed been some odd phenomena at The Hazlitt Theatre. The sightings are mostly within the same area of the venue, and are often of a very similar nature, which is the appearance of a womanly figure in a particular corridor. This figure was most recently seen by a Technician whilst he was locking up the building, it was in its usual place. He now refuses to look at that corridor when he's alone in the building. A child-like figure has also been seen in the balcony of the auditorium within the last few years. A very strange phenomena was witnessed whilst locking up the building, of strobe lighting appearing from the gap underneath a door. When the door was opened, the strobe lighting instantly stopped and the room (a ladies toilet) was pitch black. This happened several times and in the end it just had to be left and my colleague walked away. The toilet doesn't have any windows or skylights and I'm at a loss to explain the strobe lighting. The most memorable recent event happened to another Technician on his first day of work in the venue. He stepped into an open trap door, many meters above the stage, and was about to drop and fall down onto the stage, when he felt a hand grab his arm and pull him back to safety. He turned to thank the person (he assumed it was me, as I was the only other person in the building at the time), but there was nobody there. I was in the other side of the building at the time. He came and found me and was in a bit of a state of shock. The building does have a distinctly uncomfortable feeling to it when one knows one is alone inside it, particularly in the previously mentioned corridor. This feeling is felt by most people who have been alone in the venue."
