Also known as Cogan House, the face of John Bygg, who owned the now-demolished King's Mill, is said to stand at the top of the stairs and brush by people; there are also stories of gusts of wind and the smell of rotting fish. Children also talk to a man who sit on the benches in the garden, but he is invisible to adults.
