The Hungry Guest

When this was Mackenzie's Wine Bar, a draped figure thought to be a monk, was seen to walk across the bar; this may be connected to a fireplace in the building which once belonged to the nearby Abbey. The same year (1988), the owner's son accidentally knocked over a bucket in the kitchen but a hand appeared and prevented the contents from spilling. It is not known if these phenomena still occur.
