The Three Crowns

The ghost of a woman, said to have been jilted at the altar and who killed herself here appears occasionally. The phantom of a Mrs.Phipps also haunts the pub; she was the landlady in the early part of the 20th century and her photograph is in the bar area. She has been blamed on doors slamming and people feeling prods in their backs; also reported at one point was the inexplicable sound of chains rattling at the back door.
