Claremont House
Claremont Drive, Esher, Surrey KT10 9LY
An old man dressed in a long dark cloak or coat has been seen here, usually near the lake. He is believed to be Wiliam Kent, who landscaped the area, but was underpaid by the owner. Kent was thrown off the grounds but returned later with two guns. He was beaten up by the owner's servants and thrown into the lake. Although he survived, Kent fell ill and died within ten days.
