Barley Mow Roundabout

Apparently an old chapel and graveyard used to be situated here which might explain some of the incidents occurring in the shops in this area; these phenomena include doors being found open and the sighting of an apparition. In the garage forecourt, a strange mist was seen late at night, and an attendant saw a man drive to the pumps and start to fill his car; then both man and car vanished - and the CCTV showed nothing of this! Another strange visitor in c.1977 was an old Charabanc style coach which pulled into the forecourt; but no one other than the witness actually saw this vehicle. Finally, one night, the locked door to the station had "blown open" despite there being no wind.
