St Mary The Virgin Church

The ghost of Sir Walter Raleigh has been seen in the graveyard (he once owned an estate in the area). He is said to walk around a particular tree three times on Christmas Eve. Legend tells of how his body was retrieved from his Westminster burial space after his execution and then reburied here. There is also said to be a phantom nun.
