The Cooper's Arms

This pub is the spectral haunt of a monk who walks out of the wall, but is rarely seen; he is sometimes seen in the bar, where he slides people's beer off tables, and occasionally sighted in the cellar. He is said to have been walled up alive. Some embellishments to the basic story exist; that the monk was sealed up for committing some sin against the Brethren of Coopers, that he has a look of anger on his face, and that he only appears once a year on an unspecified date in November, where he emerges from the wall before returning to his cell. Incidentally, the pub used to be the workshop for the priory, and the barrels were made here. Another ghost is that of an old man with staring eyes.
