Items moving, and cups and glasses being thrown off the shelves here is blamed on a former punter who was found dead in the nearby pond after a new landlord refused to put his drinks on a tab.

Update 15/9/20: Russel, a worker at the pub tells me, "Sorry nothing to report here." However, situations change and the new licensee, who had been in the position for 5 months as of March 2023 says he has heard the drowned customer three or four times in his brief tenure, normally around 1am when the spectre bangs on the outside window. There are said to be three other ghosts at the pub which are mentioned on the Ember Inns website; an old man that sits next to the fire in a rocking chair, a girl named Grace in the cellar and a little girl on the stairs next to the landlord’s office. According to the current landlord, this latter ghost is said to be the one that is seen the most. The new licensee says that he has been a publican for 30 years and won’t venture back into the bar once he has locked up.
