The Stag and Hounds

A rarely seen spectral ostler who hanged himself in one of the stables has been reported; the stable area is now part of the dining room. It is also said that there are spirits of two old men who "like to still sit as if for a drink in the small snug ... especially after the pub has closed for the night." Apparently one of them likes to stand behind customers, eliciting looks of alarm from bystanders after which they soon fade away.
