The Castle Inn

Ghostly rumblings under the inn may be connected to a rumoured tunnel that leads to the nearby church; there have also been stories of ghostly moanings. Some of these may originate from the time when bodies where stored at the pub waiting for burial. According to legend, a servant girl suffocated when she climbed into a coffin, and some time later a young boy was crushed when a stack of coffins fell on him.

Update 9/1/22: The pub responded to my Facebook query for any recent phenomena: "yes some people have had weird sightings etc"
