Nags Head

The ghost claimed for this property is "Janet" who worked here for 25 years. She is said to play pranks and does her best to scare the staff. Her outline been seen walking through a wall in the kitchen on several occasions and always in the same place. She may walk through other walls where doorways used to be, too. A "mysterious shadow" (presumably Janet's) was seen in the area of the cellar and soon afterwards, the door unlocked and opened by itself, with no-one visible. Janet is blamed for moving wine bottles or turning them around after the shelves have been cleaned. It is in this area that a staff member's dog barks unaccountably.
