Pembroke Road

A 2025 newspaper says that, "The junction at the top of the road is said to be haunted by Jenkins Protheroe, a thief who used to rob people near the location in the 18th century. He was hung on the site of his crimes ... he was eventually caught, and buried on the grass junction at the top of the road."
