Lady Elizabeth Somerset Memorial

Lady Somerset, the daughter of Duchess Elizabeth Somerset was thrown from her horse and killed in 1760. She was 18 years old. It is said that she still haunts the park, and that galloping hooves have been heard. A local legend says that if you stand next to her memorial and hear three knocks, she is said to be nearby.
