Strange noises at night (which interfered with a BBC filming crew on one occasion) and a figure seen in a upper floor window have been reported here. "High pitched screeching noises, screams and wailing cries" have been heard and dark shadows and figures reported. These have occurred in a room where, according to Legend, Elizabeth Williams died of a broken heart. She was planning to marry Thomas Evans, but her father disapproved of the courtship and locked her in a room, awaiting a more suitable suitor.
