A previous owner, who lived here from c.2002-2011 said that there were "lots of issues", which he thought might be due to previous landlady Carol Fyfe who was murdered here by barman Gregory Mills in 1997 (my contact also suggested that the ghostly phenomena might be due to another landlord who had fallen down the stairs a couple of decades earlier and died of heart attack.) The previous owner could only remember a few incidents, one of them was the time his bed started shaking which he thought might be due to the tube trains passing underneath but when he stepped off, it was just the bed moving. A girl went to use the ladies toilets when she heard someone else come in and close the door to the cubicle next to hers. She knew she was alone in the pub as the premises were not open and she started praying. When she emerged there was no one in the other cubicle. "There were lots of things back in the day ... Things only got calmer when we put in a Buddhist Shrine when we had a Thai kitchen ... I even had a priest in to do a blessing - no good, but the activity really became minimal with the Thais saying prayers there," my contact said.

Update 23/1/26: Sam responded to my Facebook query for any recent phenomena; "Not really, I haven’t experienced anything or hear from staff or customers."
