The Little Angel

Mary Blandy, arrested on suspicion of the poisoning of her father, managed to escape incarceration but a mob pursued her until she came to the Little Angel which was owned by a friend of hers. She hammered on the windows until she was let in, but she was eventually re-arrested. It is said that the sound of her banging on the window still persist to this day. She is also said to haunt the upper rooms of the pub (which are now staff accommodation) and can sometimes be heard crying on the staircase.
