Emporium Court

In the early 1980s when "Copyplan" occupied some of these premises, footsteps had been heard coming from the front door up to the first floor, even though the door was locked; on one occasion this was followed by the doorway at the top of the stairs "fling open with considerable force." Other footsteps sounded like the invisible source was wearing ladies heels on an uncarpeted area. The face of a young woman was also seen in the mirror in the ladies toilets. She was said to have dark hair and wearing "a cameo style brooch at her neck on a high blouse."
The company next door had a cellar and one day the director heard a crashing noise issuing from the area. Fearing that expensive equipment had fallen and been smashed, he checked but found nothing amiss.
