The Clifton59 Clifton Street, Old Town, Swindon, Wiltshire SN1 3PY A spectral nun has been seen here, and it is rumoured that the pub was built upon the site of a convent or priory. The pub's website says, "She has appeared most often in an upstairs bedroom, but regularly also ventures into the cellar and has sometimes been known to pop into the bar!" Occasionally, poltergeist-like activity breaks out here too. |
