Little Wakering Hall
Little Wakering Hall Lane, Little Wakering, Southend-On-Sea, Essex SS3 0HQ
The ghost is said to be Betty Bury, who hanged herself in the attic after her lover rejected her. She has been seen - without a head - and she is blamed for the hall's bell being rung by itself. She has also been seen on Little Wakering Hall Lane and is also said to glide from the church to Wakering Wick in the autumn, making the trees shake as she does so.
