The Woodman

The ghost here is mainly confined to the cellar area, where a "slender young woman in a long, brown, floor-length dress" was seen out of the corner of the witnesses eye, moving towards the steps. Her footsteps or swish of her dress have also been heard. Apparently one of the barmaids who stopped in the pub overnight awoke to the sensation of being strangled, as if the hands were coming up through her bed.

Update 7/1/2026: Tom, the owner, replied to my email for any recent phenomena: "Nothing here, Paul"
