Chapel of St Peters-on-the-Wall
East End Road, Bradwell-on-Sea, Essex CM0 7PN
A moving light at night has been seen through the windows; sometimes the shadows of figures and mists have been observed too. But when the door is opened, the building is in darkness. The shadows and mists have been seen in the area too. Just to the south of the chapel once lay the Othona Roman Fort, with a Roman road leading eastward from St Peters; the galloping of invisible hooves has been heard in this area heading towards the Fort on bright, moonlit nights.
