Magdalen Bridge

The ghost that has been seen here is known as "The Black Diver". He is said to be small, with black skin and a round head, and wearing dark clothing. He is usually seen on the parapet waving his arms before falling backwards into the river. He is believed to be a chimney sweep who had been shot in 1754 during riots in the city.
