The Bull Inn (Closed)

In the 1970s one of the rooms would turn "unnaturally cold" and guests said that sheets would be pulled from them in the night; a baby monitor also picked up "strange sounds." A later landlord found that the tap to one of the freshly installed barrels in the cellar had been turned off even though he had activated it only moments before. An ornamental shield would be found moved and once it flew across the bar. It is also in the bar where a ghostly figure once walked, and the pubs dogs would refuse to venture into the cellar. The landlord also came down in the morning to find all the tables moved to the middle of the bar and the chairs stacked on top of them, despite everything being normal the night before. Later on in the pub's life, staff have found items moved, and "something" was heard clattering in the public bar at the back; no one was there when staff went to investigate but small items were found displaced (like beer mats or an ashtray on the floor.) These latter incidents have been blamed on the late Mr Upton, the landlord in the 1970s.
