Roch Castle

A lady in white, identified as Lucy Walter is said to haunt this castle; as a 14 year old, she threw a javelin at Oliver Cromwell during a Civil War siege and later bore a child to King Charles II, who grew up to be the Duke of Monmouth.

Update 26/2/22: Staff at the castle responded to my Facebook query: "no we operate as a guest accommodation so we do not promote the history in that way and do not have any guests that have reported anything"
