Poltergeist-like activity has been reported here, including the smell of incense, objects moving around and bangs and heavy breathing being heard. There are also stories of crunching paper and a ticking noise like that of a clock - even though there was no clock in the room. A dog barking was told by a voice to "be quiet", a knot appeared mysteriously in a headscarf and flooring that had taken two men to lift was found laid by itself. A peculiar auditory experience occurred when a horse and cart was heard to pull up on cobblestones outside a guest's bedroom but when she went to look, not only was there nothing there, but the surface outside was grass, not cobbles.
