Update 8/3/2026: Responding to a Facebook query about any recent phenomena, the pub helpfully told me that in their near 4 years of occupancy (as of June 2026) they have nothing to report. Previous owners reported seeing a lady, and their housekeeper of 21 years (now retired) would often see a lady downstairs when cleaning in the morning, when it was only her downstairs. She never felt threatened, the ghost just quietly stood there. The housekeeper mentioned it to my contact during her time at the pub. The only strange thing that happened to my contact was, "My daughter woke up one night (4 years old at the time) adamant that there was someone in her room. That same night her sound machine had switched itself on. I was alseep in the same room as her, whilst I didn’t see anyone, I definitely witnessed the white noise sound machine turn itself on."
